What are 11mm venturi carbs found on?
Hi all!
Can someone tell me what types of gas powered equipment would have used the 11mm carb on them.I'm thinking probably the smaller size chainsaws or is that more likely to be a 12mm?I guess that would depend on the displacement of the engine obviously.I tracked down a list of Walbro carbs that are considered to be rather common at the "Shark Racing Team" web site but it just tells you what makes of equipment these carbs were used on and not the displacement of the engine. Is there another web site that you guy's might have used in the past that might have this information?I think I'll have to do some cross referencing between Shark's web site and Walbo's web site to narrow it down the search a bit.Either way,I'm limited to what the small engine shops around me might have on hand used anyways. Is a 12mm venturi considered TOO large for a 25/30 Homelite or would that be considered the max that you would want to use before you start running into idle ,ease of starting, throttle transition problems? |
RE: What are 11mm venturi carbs found on?
Most 11.1 carbs work the same...the carbs found on Ebay are mostly smaller and many have no high speed adjustment, so watch what you find there...I looked last night, most were really small takeoffs and would not be what you want...There is no magic to the 11.1 number, it's just very common on small engines...I just ran a G23 with a WA125, 9+ mm, turned a Mejzlik 18-6 7500 rpm with a lawnmower muffler...Carb size is not all that important....:D
