Homelite question ... again
1 Attachment(s)
I have an engine I took out of a "Homelite ST-80 string trimmer. Flypaper 2 was kind enough to spec it as a 26.2cc. When I opened it up I was surprised to find that it's got reed valve induction. I've never seen a Homie with a reed valve setup and now I not quite sure that the engine is really Homelite. Mabey something different ? Do you guys recognise this as a Homelite ? What do you think, worth converting? Thanks for any help

RE: Homelite question ... again
Antique: Most homelites are reed valve. I have a couple of 45s and 60ccs and they are reed valve. Reeds have some advantages. More torque at lower rpm than comparible size piston ported engines.
