Hey, I just got one just like it.....it was already trimmed down, with a homemade aluminum engine mount and twin pipe muffler on it when I got it, I turned down the flywheel, put a larger carb on it, & added a prop adapter from wackerengines. Turns a 16 x 4 prop at a solid 8500 rpm, but could only get 5400 rpm out of a 18 x 8. I haven't actually weighed it, but is feels just a little lighter than my Homie 25cc weedwacker conversion, & it's a lot easier to adjust the carb, don't have to worry about the prop. It's slated to go on a 72" bipe that I have plans for, but that project is probably a year out.

You can get rid of that housing around the carb. As said above, put a bigger carb on it. They used that dinky throat to restrict the RPM. |
