New Ryobi 30cc Trimmer

Has anyone converted one of the new Ryobi 30cc trimmer engines? These are on the trimmers with the removeable end shafts for different attachments. My Local Home Depot has them for $99.00. The engine looks identical to the old Homelite 30cc as it now has a side mount carb and exhaust.

Ryobi bought the Homelite name and whatever else they could of the old line.

And... Ryobi is now owned by MTD who also owns Troy Built, Bolens, Cub Cadet, Yard Man, Arnold, and whatever else you can think of including now... Homelite. They are based in Cleveland, Ohio but have plants scattered all over the US and possibly other countries? Some of the lawn tractors are assembled and the national parts warehouse for the lawn tractors is in Shelby, Ohio.

Enjoy,

Jim
