Maruyama engines

Just picked up two Maruyama Blowers One unknown the other is marked BL4500 HA. Both appear to be in good shape. Anyone familiar with Maruyama? Good, bad or just ugly ? Thanks for your help

I'll strip them down over the next couple of days & post some pictures. I've neve heard of Maruyama before, but then I'm just a beginner.

Interesting,, no BL4500. Must be an older model. I'll try to measure one today.

Wondering what your status is on this project?
Same model has shown up locally for sale, well used and missing carb. It has 2 ring piston, square finned head with 4 corner holes and recess in top fin for plug. If you have any more info I'm interested.

These pics are on here somewhere but I'll post them again. They're really Kawasaki 40.2 cc.

I also have one of these 40.2cc engines from a backpack blower. Engine has been pulled but no other action taken as yet. Interested in what you find this out about this conversion. Are you going to go ahead & complete the conversion & test? (I hope YES)

RE: Maruyama engines

In a previous post RCIGN1 commented that these were good strong engines and nearly industructable but heavy. Looking at the engine I believe him. There is lots of metal to cut off but I'm still inclined to believe that the end product would be heavier than I'm interested in. Three of them on the shelf until I have nothing better to do. Mabey do some trading for something smaller, in the 22cc to 28cc range ???

Sent an e-mail request for schematic and parts list via site's 'contact us' yesterday and they sent PFD files today. They do look heavy. I pass, thanks for the pics.
