tuned pipe calculator
Found this and thought some of you with good shop equipment might find it a good reference.:)
At the lower RPMs they do get longer. Rather neat to watch the dimensions change as you vary the parameters. |

Missed that Mike ?? ;)

RE: tuned pipe calculator
Sorry. There really was a missing link! The tuned pipe program appears to be the same as Jens link provides.

RE: tuned pipe calculator
funny thing about that calculator is that the dimensions never even come close to the various macs pipes i have, even when changing some of the variables according to the math formulas. just proves that macs pipes are designed very "fluffy" so as to work with a broad range of engines....

RE: tuned pipe calculator
Thanks guys! I will now have to make the wacker a new exhaust, those edges don't stand a chance.

RE: tuned pipe calculator
Aren't the Mac pipes designed for nitro? They would be of different dimensions because the EGT is lower.
For gas engines the calculator works pretty well. The nice thing is that it gives you the flat layout dimensions for the cones. |
