I had this engine given to me, but I don't know what it is. It is a 50cc and came off of a "pocket bike". It may have an hour's run time, if that. It wasn't big enough to pull the 185 lb. kid that got it for Christmas, so they put on a larger engine. I'll probably install an ignition, since the flywheel is oversized for the mounting of a clutch. There's no name on the engine or carb. The numbers on the carb are 406061037and the engine has a logo cast in two places that looks like XOX over a triangle. Anyone seen one of these?

Looks like a Zenoah but I'm no expert. Many of the pocket bikes have Zenoahs.

Either way, looks like an easy conversion. Probably fairly powerful as well. Can you get your hands on the manual for the scooter? If not, try an internet search using the name of the scooter.

Good luck,

It is my understanding that most of the pocket bikes are chinese. Good luck getting parts...

Bearings and seals are fairly universal. Excellent rings for any engine can be had from Frank Bowman. You can make any gasket yourself. The only thing left is the cylinder and piston. If you burn those up, you really ought to find another hobby.

Looks like the Chinese clone of the Mitsu engine, commonly found in many of the larger 'superbike' pocketbikes. 49cc, piston port 2-stroke.

Some stock parts for this motor can be found here:

Adding a good 15mm Walbro WYK carb (like the WYK-58) really wakes this engine up.
