engine interference issolation
 

ok i know that most of the people here use the engines for planes, but how do you issolate the engine interference comming from the engine. all i get is constant glitching with the motor running. i have another set of elctronics that i am going to try, but if that dosen't solve the problem i need to figure this out. do i possible need to groung the electronics to the frame????
anyways my head hurts so i will let some else think of something to do..

Hello,
With airplanes it is recomended to keep the radio equipment 10-12 inches away from the engine ignition. Don't use any metal control rods or wiring between the engine and the radio. Keep the antenna away also. Use a resister spark plug gapped at between 20-25 thousands. I don't know how the car and boat people accomplish this, maybe they use sheilding of some sort. the resistor spark plug... is that different than what comes with the engine???

Yes. Champion have an R at the begining. NGK and others have a R in the id number such as BPMR6F. If you do a search of RCU on thease things, you would be suprized at what you will find.

This has nothing to do with your problem, but thats a sweet truck. That's based off a T Maxx right?

On the resistor plug thing, take the # off teh current plug, and take it down to your small engines place, tell them you need that plug in a resistor version.

do you know if what number for bosch spark plugs are resistor type which will be ok for a homelite 25cc?
