Homelite pipe

Does anyone make a steel header pipe for the Homelite 25/30? I would like to have a stainless pipe and all I can find are aluminum.

HI,
It wouldn't be that hard to have a steel header made. It shouldn't much for steel. Now stainless steel is another story. It isn't really steel and requires special skills.

I have built steel pipes for larger engines and have some experience with stainless. I don't know of a source for thin wall stainless bends. I have about decided that I will have to build my own.

Hi,
Stainless can be found at metal recycling centers. I check them out for cheap good quality aluminum scrap also. Stainless is used in sinks, coolers etc, and tubing as well.

Thanks Dave! You, Dick Hanson, Rcign1, and a few others are invaluable!
Us old guys need to pass on all the info we can before it is lost.

dbryan, I seen you're not in a coastal state, but try a marine supply store for the stainless. Comes in varying sizes for rails and such. Any welding supply house will have the stainless rods.

The problem with the marine stuff is it is heavy wall.
