Weight vs. displacement

Weight vs. displacement

The smallest gas engines generally weigh about 4 pounds. There is very little weight difference between a 25cc engine and a 62cc engine. Sort of makes one wonder why 25cc and 31cc engines are ever used. Might as well prop it down and restrict the throttle. I have both 25 and 31cc engines but don’t quite know why.

RE: Weight vs. displacement

ok I will bite on this one

you have them so you can put a walbro wt499 carb and a glow plug adapter and run 4oz. oil to a gallon of methanol ,cost per gallon $2.50, and voila a glow engine that is light and has a ball bearing crank so low oil is used and no glow goooo clean up.
