35cc Stihl
1 Attachment(s)
Here is my latest effort. A Stihl 35cc from a FS 108 trimmer. It is set up as a pusher(clockwise rotation) for a 12' span camera platform.
Specs: Zama C1Q 13mm verturi carb Stock engine, no change to timing or ports. CH Syncrospark 18-6 Top Flite Prop Idle 1800 WOT 8400rpm I got this engine along with 3 others from a Harris county surplus auction. Its used, but from the appearance it was practically new. |
RE: 35cc Stihl
W,
Did it come with a 13mm carb? If it did, I'll bet it will be a powerhouse. Don't forget to keep your distance between the radio and the pusher engine. Dave |

The original carb was a 13mm Zama. However it had 3 needles and I have never figured out how to set it up. The third needle appears to be some sort of accelerator adjustment, but I am far from certain. I've looked at the Zama carb data sheets until I was cross eyed, but never found a model with the third needle. If anyone has ever run into one of these and knows how to set them up, I would apprreciate some information since I have 5 of these. Will |
RE: 35cc Stihl
usually the two needles that are side by side are the hight and low speed adjustments with the high speed being the one farther from the engine. the other needle is not needed and usually just keeps the throttle butterfly from closing entirely. you wont need it b/c you can control this function with your tx after you hook up throttle linkage.;)
