WHAT ABOUT THE LEAF BLOWER ENGINES? ARE THEY THE SAME AS A TRIMMER, AND COULD THEY BE USED?
I HAVEN`T SEEN ANYTHING MENTIONED ABOUT THESE. RCM243

RE: conversions

We talk about blowers all the time.

Some convert rather easy.

Some have unusual carbs that must be replaced. We usually use some kind of chainsaw carb anyway.

RE: conversions

Bill,
Many blower engines, such as Echo turn backwards(clockwise). Many are heavier then trimmers or saws.

RE: conversions

While Dave is correct, I have converted many blower engines and they all run fine CCW on electronic ignitions.

RE: conversions

I have read also that some blower engines are balanced better than string trimmer engines. Maybe it is because they run full throttle for long perids of time. Capt,n

Captain,
A poorly balanced motor strapped to your back is not good.:D They all run fine on electronic ignition of course.
