100--120cc Engine For Conversion?

I am on the hunt for another 100CC engine to convert.

I have a 111cc Stihl engine that I rescued from a 760 cut-off saw. But, thats MINE and I ain't gonna give it up. :) It's going on a Lanier 35% Giles someday.

My friends and I are going to build a big Extra together. Everyone is responsible for a specific portion of the project. I have to furnish the engine--'cause I'm the "engine guy" in my circle of friends. One guy is furnishing all the servos. Another bought the kit and covering. Somebody else is buying the hardware and wing/stab tubes.

Well, I need to get a motor. I've been on the lookout for another 760 cut-off saw, but not haviong much luck getting one that runs for a decent price. I got lucky on the last one. The saw had been run over by a piece of heavy equipment and about the only thing worth salvageing was the engine. I got it for $50.

Apparently--the heavy equipment operators have been passing their drug tests, because I can't seam to find one thats been run over. [sm=lol.gif]

Any ideas on another saw or machine to look at for a conversion in this size. Doesn't have to be a twin, but that would sure be cool.

Partner P65 chainsaw, Sachs Dolmar 143 chainsaw, Chrysler West Bend GoKart 8.2....
I have converted all 3, all work really well, not as light as some of the newer stuff but will last forever....

More better, Yamaha KT100 Kart engine. Almost 25yrs ago I had a friend with a Wizzard weight-shift ultralight on floats. Powered by a KT100. I'd bet an RC plane on one of these would kick butt.

I think they make 20hp. . There are zillions of them in the Kart world, I don't know how cheap but worth a look.

EDIT: [link=http://www.radne.se/Store/Raket/]Raket Engines[/link] They make a 60, 85 and 120. Popular in Europe. Used in ultralights too. Bone up on your Swedish.

HAS ANYBODY TRIED SMALL 2 BANGER OUTBOARD MOTOR FOR A LIQUID COOLED PROJECT? I STARTED WUNDERING WHEN I SAW AN OLD CHRYSTLER 9.9 BLOCK ON A SCRAP PILE THE OTHER DAY. DON'T KNOW THE CC'S BUT IT WAS PHYSICALLY QUITE SMALL AND VERY LIGHT FOR 10HP (STOCK!!). HEY- SOME OF THE HOTTEST FULL SCALE PYLON RACERS ARE LIQUID COOLED. I'VE HEARD CONFLICTING STORIES ABOUT BALANCE ISSUES IF YOU TURN THE MOTOR TO HORIZONAL THOUGH..?????? SERIOUSLY HAS ANYBODY TRIED A 13MM CARB ON 30CC CLASS ENGINE OR JUST COMMON SENSE IT'S TOO BIG. I CAN GET NEW 9MM (LIKE STOCK WEEDTRIMMER) CARBS FOR $3 AND I CAN GET 13MM CHEAP BY THE BUSHEL BUT THE HOLY GRAIL 11MM IS ELUSIVE AND COSTLY.[IF SOME IS GOOD MORE IS BETTER AND TOO MUCH IS ENOUGH AND HOW DO YOU GET THE QUOTE INSIDE THE BOX?
