Homelite 25 in a Warbird
I'm looking for a warbird ARF to put my homelite 25 cc in. Prefer WWII. It can be on EI if weight is an issue. Anyone have experience with this? I bought a 70" W/S Hellcat but I think it is too small for this engine. Suggestions would be appreciated.

Do a search on Hellcat. I know of at least one successful use of a 26cc gas engine on this plane.

What Helcat do you have? I have a homelite 25 cc also.

The Hellcat I have was purchased off e-bay. It is a CMP "Clone". It is branded "Willhobbies". $153 shipped to my door. Doesn't look much bigger than my .60 TF P-40 so I am not sure about putting a gasser in it unless maybe a Zenoah G20 Ei.

The CMP Hellcat or one of the clones flies great with a 25 cc toro weedwacker motor. Even without going to the electric ignition. mount the servos in the tail and install your battery in the back and it can come out pretty light. They are very forgiving fliers. Look up the LONG Hellcat thread in the warbird forum.

I guess I'll keep the plane then and give it a try. I think having the servos aft is a good idea anyway.
