What size of a magnet do I need for CDI
 
I ordered a electrnic ignition. Any tips on the pick up magnet? I need to know what size the proper position and how to make it stay in the hub?[:o]

I bought a pack of 100 AlNiCo magnets from an electronics supplier in North Dakota I think it was. They are .250 long and .125 in diameter. You may try CH Ignitions as I think they sell them also. Not real expensive but I do a fair amount of engines and repairs so I found it cheaper to by in bulk. I drill a .125 hole in the tining ring and JB Weld the magnet in. Never had one come out. Some will stake it in with a punch. Can't get ot out as easy I have found. Just pass it by your sensor and make sure the end that fires the sensor is facing out or you will not get spark.

go try radio shack or any other electronics store.i buy mine from there,1/8 roundx1/8.the last 2 i bought where about .85 cents - 1.00 i think.thats per peice.
