Hi everyone ..
I have this old cox cainsaw ...its kinda small not sure of the size in cc's but its all there and runs too!
My question is .....is this tthe same company that makes rc aircraft ?It would be kinda cool to convert it to fly.

Well,for one thing you posted in the wrong category.Post in engine conversions or a moderator will move shortly.Any way a pic would be nice and do you have any ccs of the motor.If not,measure the bore in mms through the exhaust port with a popsicle stick.Then measure the stroke the same way and post it and i can tell you the ccs.But a pic of it would be better with no shrouds on it if possible.It might also have needle bearings on the crank.

Those old Cox saws are getting very rare. They didn't have a lot of power as I remember, only a 10 or 12 inch bar.
These are considered more as a collectors item.
I would save history and convert one of the more plentiful engines.
Just my opinion FWIW.

Sir ,
You are correct .
I did some searching and found a actual virtual museum of Leroy Cox manufacturing .This saw was produced by his company.Very interesting web page.
I will leave the saw as is .
I will look else where for a conversion motor.

FWIW, there is a guy with an eBay store using the moniker "coxmania" who has some Cox-Roper chainsaw engines for sale. US$100.00 "buy it now" for the biggest Cox engine you could ever fly. He is selling them as possible conversions.

Sure would make a good conversation starter at a Cox fly-in. :)
