After market Ignition system
 

Can anyone recommend an after market EI system for conversions. Is their a inexpensive system that can work for many engines, basically for testing. Is CH the best choice in value.

I have been using the XYZ replacement ignition from southeastrcengines.com. Have one on a Ryobi 31cc that works great so far. Only a few flights. But price is good. southeastrcengines.com

Heres a pic of my 31cc ryobi i just did.I also put the cylinder in my lathe to round it out some for a more finished look.Holesawed flywheel.3-1/4 lbs as in the pic with ign and mount.Rcexcel ign.Just drilled and tapped 6x32 in the front case for sensor.

If a person has a aircraft with a standoff box on firewall...you could just use a flate plate of aluminum to mount the Ryobi. Also a light muffler built from a aluminum beer bottle. Lots of options!!! Capt,n:D

Yes, I used a hole saw to cut out the flywheel for the magnet hub. To mount the sensor I epoxied the sensor to a screw hose clamp then mounted the clamp to the crank case.
