Dont you hate it when you do something completely stupid?? After working on my newest conversion,I decided to do another test run on the engine I was telling you guys about. If you recall,I was telling you I wished it had started better and would run alittle smoother as it had a tendency to vibrate at times even after some tuning work. Well,tonight I figured I'd put the timing back to its recommend 28 degrees and fire it up. Got it started and went to adjust the needle valves again......and when I did I could have sworn someone switched the "L" and the "H" on the carb! After clean off some dirt......sure enough,I was adjusting the wrong needles! After some re-tuning,she ran like a champ. And much smoother too. I only got to start it a couple times,but it seemed better already. I even got to turn the idle screw down and it still idle very reliably. DUH!!!!

Oh well,another day in the shop I guess,lol. :D
