Yellow Aircraft Cap 10 B-Ryobi Engine

I have a Yellow Aircraft Cap 10 B and a new 28.5 cc Ryobi conversion. It will turn a 17-6 APC 7500 rpm. Will this engine fly this plane? It is under construction now and I think it will come out at around 17Lbs. I don't care about it going verticle, as I know it won't, just basic acro. Thanks, Gary

It's doubtful.

Years ago I flew the Yellow Cap 10 with a ST 3000 on gas and ignition. It would turn an 18x10 at 7800. It flew just a little better than scale like.
I think your engine would fly the plane, but way less than scale like. Its like 17lb thrust (ST300)vs 10 lb thrust(Ryobi)

Just took my old Snap 10 out of mothballs with a Quadra 42 on it. Great aerobatic plane if you pay attention to it.:D
