Its the 25cc Toro or Troy built engine. There was a guy selling 4 of them to a box on ebay a while back.I bought 2 boxes and sold all the engines after converting them.
Best prop is a 16x8. 7000-7400 Attached is a couple pics of mine. |
RE: Help identify engine
Thank you guys for helping identify the engine. I ran it yesterday with a 16x8 prop and got 8200 rpm. This is my first converted engine and I was wondering what oil to use and what is the best mix ratio? Also is there a place I can buy a muffler that will fit it?
Thank Kevin |
RE: Help identify engine
Good numbers.Maybe its been run in or has a different carb.My numbers where stock carb and just the gutted muffler.
Any muffler that fits the G23 or G26 will fit.Already tried them, there the same pattern. Actually this motor is a clone of the Echo i believe. Maybe lower elevation helps also.Im at 3000-msl. |
RE: Help identify engine
Thats the Mac MB 290,it will spin higher w/apc prop and a velocity stack on carb, probably just fine as is though, good luck
