Duct Fan to prop?
1 Attachment(s)
Ok so recently I received a BVM 91 from a guy who was getting out of the hobby. He had already mounted it before onto a pusher plane that bit the dust a long time ago. I was wondering what size prop, what is the importance of the variable fuel supply valve, and can I run a normal, non-tuned muffler? I was maybe hoping "fingers crossed" that I could put this in my TF 182 I'm building. Also will normal 15% fuel satisfy its needs?

RE: Duct Fan to prop?
This engine is designed to run at 23-25,000 RPM. It will run slower than that, but you might have all sorts of trouble tuning it. It's not really a power plant for a sport application. Today these are mainly used in high speed models. it might be possible to run it as a sport engine. Check in this forum.
