87cc toro 4 cycle
Anyone see one of these yet? On a small snowblower? The local hardware store guy knows I am a conversion guy. Soon as I walked in the door he was pointing it out.
Thought I would bring it up as I don't think I have seen it mentioned yet. After a quick search online it might actually be a 98cc .85 liter ? Powerlite single stage? I checked again today it is an 87cc toro 4 cycle, so I changed the title of the post to reflect that. |
RE: 87cc toro 4 cycle
Do you plan on converting one? I would love to see it.

RE: 87cc toro 4 cycle
Well I am like you, hoping someone else takes the lead :D
My buddy is considering it for a 1/3 pup..but he says until someone determines the bearing setup. either firsthand or with a factory drawing he is sitting on the fence as well. I am not really an expert in conversions as much as I follow the lead of more accomplished mechanics... |

RE: 87cc toro 4 cycle
That has to weigh a ton.

RE: 87cc toro 4 cycle
It appears to be designed along with the time honored B&S WET SUMP system

RE: 87cc toro 4 cycle
Yup thinking that same thing, probably not a good candidate for conversion.
|
RE: 87cc toro 4 cycle
well my buddy was looking at it for a 1/3 sopwith pup, so the weight might not be as big of a problem....He hasn't looked at one in person though...yet

RE: 87cc toro 4 cycle
With a wet sump oil system, your maneuvering would be limited.
|
RE: 87cc toro 4 cycle
If you make it a gas/glow conversion the oiling will not be as much of a problem. Others have had success with the B&S 40cc, 4-stroke with wet sump.
