Sensor installation suggestions

I am working on an echo short block SB1080. That is the same as a BME 50. I am having fits trying to figure out a clean looking way to install the sensor. I need it to be ajustable. I could make a disk to fit on the taper stub on the back of the engine. I guess I could put it on the back of the crank. But, that means taking it all apart to drill and tap the crank for a setscrew to hold a disk in place. I can not find a good picture of how BME does it, any one have a decent picture?

Here's a few

There's a moveable timing ring towards the back of the hub held with a set screw

The magnet looks towards the rear

The sensor is on the little flat plate behind the hub on the right side of the engine

Thanks a bunch,

That was exactly what I needed.

It looks fiddly to adjust the timing but it looks nice, is strong, and works. I'll probably put a couple of little holes in the back of thiming ring and make a spanner to match.

Thanks again,

Scot
