This is for my Belt-CP
Plastic tail box wear out too fast, changed to CNC tail. Screws got lose and came off during flight, happened twice in 2 weeks. Now guess what, 3 weeks later the bearing of the tail are broken!!!...Serious??!!! Esky CNC tail wear out after 3 weeks of 60 flights? Is it just me bad luck or this is the lifespan of any cnc parts?
Someone please tell me what to do, I'm sick of this tail problem that had bugged me for more then 2 months.

Hi there
Well I just dont have any of those problems, but my solution for my belt was COPTERX V2 TAIL system you can found very cheap this days
, I get mine from HK for 25 shipped ,fits plug and play no mod need, decent quality. be sure to loctite all .....
So far so good.

Are you sure that you got Esky parts... I question this because you said the screws fell out a couple times almost right away.
I'm willing to bet you got the parts off fleabay at a really good price and the parts came in a plastic baggie... yes/no???
Yes means you got knock-off parts which are known poor quality parts that are more poor than good. The reason the screws fell out so quickly and worn out bearings.
There are much better quality parts other than Esky as well... it pays to shop around or ask here... CopterX is probably equal quality to Esky original parts. If you want quality parts go to cnchelicopter for parts equal or better than Aligns Trex parts.

No, is not fleabay CNC. I got it from cnchelicopter.com & it comes with Esky box, not in plastic bag. I know align and many more cnc are better in quality, but I don't want to spend $40 just for a tail & thats why I bought Esky cnc tail for $20. I only do upgrade along my skill level, never because of blingking it up. I seldom crash because of pilot error, but I still want to keep the repairing cost down if does happen. But what I never though of is this cnc tail wear out on me so darn fast.
Mcdaniel, can you give me the website of that $25 CopterX CNC tail?

Ouch... well that hurts for sure then. I personally try to avoid Esky parts if I can help it. Although the K2 is a great entry heli the quality really is a hit and miss. QC at Esky is somewhat lacking and my guess is that you got a 'second' rather than a good part. Esky will sell off parts that don't meet the standards to other buyers who will then package them and flog them cheap.
cnchelicopter is a great company and their products are high quality. You might pay a little more but in the end its worth it. Like buying cheap tools from a discout outlet... cheap... use them once and then toss'm because they are to soft and you just rounded them out. Or buy a Snapon and have it for life. Some things it doesn't pay to go cheap... IMO

I know what I'll get for what I pay, the problem is I also know what I get after a crash. Lets just say, with the skill I have now I'm not comfortable on spending $64 for a tail.

Spend another $5 and get a whole heli (ARF) from Xheli.

I bought one... you can't go wrong and if you live in the US you can get free shipping.

You might look carefully as that may only be the tail box and not include the rotor which is also about 20$ so its 40$ total and no its not compatable with the cp parts as (I have one here and it needs a the shaft and a bearing) as far as interchangeing them. but not many people crash and destroy tail boxes, rotors parts maybe but not the tail box itself.
Look carefull at what you think you are buying compared to what you are buying

btw most copterx parts are made from rather soft but heat treated alumn known only as I believe 6061 (I see that they pulled that little note out of the tail box picture). However it is still better quality then the stock or cnc Esky tailbox and of course a much better design. With all the Trex clones out there it is really not a big point that it is compatible with a Trex tail, seems if it wasnt it would be the exception.
Hmm so what are we paying actually buying for xx$ here. 65$ for ??
Think Beta Pilot is selling the HDX tail which is made from 7075 heat treated alumn much much tougher then the CopterX material along with a shim to fit to the King ll boom for about the same price complete. I belive it is the one that fits the 9mm boom however.
HDX tail parts are available here in the US from Los Angeles.
Email Jeff with your boom size (diam.) and just tell him what you want and he can set you up with it, yes uses the stock belt too.

Be sure to clean everything carefully with parts cleaner and loctite the heck out of everything before you fly it. Loctite will NOT stick to any oily surface including the ones you touch with your oily fingers!
