Replacement parts for Esky helicopters
Are there parts you can get for these at a local hobby shop like Trex parts or do you have to buy Esky parts? Just wondering if they are interchangable.

RE: Replacement parts for Esky helicopters
will most 450 tail assemblies work on the Belt CP? the control arm on mine is rubbing due to a new(longer) shaft, and i figure i might as well upgrade the whole thing, as opposed to a control arm...looking to go cnc too...i understand i will most likely have to shift the battery more forward to compensate for the added weight, just mainly wanting to know about fit on the tail boom, and if i will need to modify anything, to get it to work..
this is what im thinking about getting.

RE: Replacement parts for Esky helicopters
The trex 450 V2 metal tail is a great upgrade to the crappy stock ESKY tail unit. 90% bolts right up, the only modification that needs to be done is the spacing from the stock plastic tailbox to the trex tail pitch bellcrank, I used 2 M2x5x3 bearings as spacers and reused the stock M2 bolt.
The amount of pitch increases dramatically, along with a large reduction in friction & binding due to the hinged pitch slider of the Align tail. I've included some pics below of the stock pitch slider, note the amount of travel allowed with the unhinged unit against the hinged Align unit. Also the balance of the heli is uneffected with the metal tail hub, slider & blade grips vs adding an entire CNC tail assembly, using an 1800mah lipo.

RE: Replacement parts for Esky helicopters
well maybe I should have said, you can either replace 1 part with some modding or you can replace an entire assembly (even then it may require modding). For instance, you could replace the entire head (with exception of swashplate) and it would pretty much drop in. Cost $180 new though.
Oh... I forgot, I think the landing gear and the tail servo holders are direct replacements too.
