Default THE NEW BELT CPV2

A few upgrades like the 704b gyro - new look and colors and some aluminum parts - even the 72mhg verson uses the new 0406F transmitter
ONE MORE THING - get rid of that 25 amp esc is will not hold and will catch on FIRE - get a 30 amp- this is a must to prevent you from a heli fire = VIC

You found the obvious differences in the landing skids, canopy, flybar paddles, vert & horiz fin colors as well as the upgraded gyro. However there are more changes.

The belt cp v2 has slight differences in the head & tail components than the original belt cp. I believe only a few parts were modified on the head...such as the flybar case, the flybar control arm, center hub and control arm. THe tail is where most the differences are such as the tail blade clamps, tail rotor blade control arm set (EK1-0408), tail rotor blades & the tail L control arm (EK1-0425). I may have missed a few parts but those are the changes that I can tell. Not owning a belt cp I can't compare it to the newer v2....but I bet it's probably hard to tell the difference in flying them.

I totally agree with the comment on ESC it is junk and heats up too much....I should just upgrade it instead of wondering when it'll flame out on me.

But the belt cp v2 does share a ton of parts off the older version.

I can second that crappy ESC. Mine went on me yesterday right after I got it out of the box. Hovered for about 2 minutes, then POP followed by some awsome white smoke. I now have a HobbyWing Pentium 30A on the way. Now for some new servo's and a Spektrum DX6i. Question is, where am I going to get all this money? Wish someone would buy my Sprint 2 already hahaha

I cut the heat shrink off and replaced the dinky heatsink to a bigger one.

I like the addition of a real heat sink to the ESC. a very good idea. Looks good and I am sure that it is much more effective.
I run a Castle Creations CC35 ESC it is almost cold when I land after about 6 minutes of flight.

By the way [link=https://www.ushobbysupply.com/index.php?cPath=31_65]US Hobby Supply[/link] has added a ton of parts for the Belt CPv2 including CNC and Carbon Fiber.

i also object to that esc i used it on my old belt cp and after 10 flights it would lose all power and i would have to try auto land to the ground it would lose power after 2 mins of flying changed it out for a 30a hyperion works like a charm!

yeah thats the BELT CP V2. It's a nice heli I've had mine for about 2 months now. I've done a lot of upgrading though. Some of the stock parts dont hold up very well. First thing that will need to go is the plastic tail system. Get the HDX CNC tail. Will save you a ton of time and money in the long run. I've also upgraded the Head to the HDX450SE head, swapped out the stock servos to the TowerPro's, and bought a new Hobbywing 30A ESC. I just bought a new Scorpion motor because the stock one is starting to take a crap on me too. But I mean it's a great heli to learn on and parts are rather cheap. Good luck with it if you get one.

Thanks Joey, It looks nice but sometimes looks can be deceiving. I have an older Hirobo Shuttle I flew a few years ago but just dont want to lug around all the support equipment for a glow powered heli. Plus the parts are getting scarce if it takes a hit. Also waiting on my flight sim to cure "rusty thumbs".

Recently, this helicopter becomes cheaper. Price drop ! I find many store have promotion for this heli model.

Seems USD144.99 can get the ready to fly kit.

if looking for 2.4Ghz version, cost USD20 more.

Hey Pete if you look, he's from H.K. I bet he'll get it at an awsome rate and can simply go pick it up. For someone like us, we'd get ***** rapped on the shipping. I'm in the process of doing a full conversion on my Belt CP V2 to a HDX450SE. Only parts I'm waiting for is the frame. The Belt was fun to learn on but will only allow one to progress so far. To really get into it, you'd need a more stable plat form.
