belt conversion for cp2

Has anyone done a belt conversion on a hb cp2? Is it worth it to upgrade it or not??

Buy a belt driven heli instead. Not worth it to convert IMO. You'll spend more in the conversion than a new heli RTF.

yeah, several have done it, but I would also agree with the above poster. Unless you are in love with this heli, just get the HBK2 or something that has it from the get go, it will cost you less money.

wish i would have known that before i got my cp2. I spent $130 shipped on my cp2 thats really all my budget allowed for right now, and I picked up the esky sim also. Would it be dumb to slowly, as my budget allows to upgrade this heli? thats what I was planning on doing.

I would say to fly the hell out of it. One you can master all the flight the bird can handle, sell it & get a bigger/better heli. If you upgrade same heli, at a point, you'll find that the stock electronics, servos & motors transferred may not be up to task on the the better heli, hence more money on equipment. I will upgrade/mod certain parts on the same heli to make it fly better, but after that, conversions will be more money overall. One thing is maybe to get a HBK2 frame kit & transfer servos & electronics over and get small other items needed like gyro & servos with same radio equipment.

yeah, I'd say if you upgrade your transmitter, or if you want to stick with these small electrics something like the gyro and/or servos those should be transferable.
