HBK2 Problem!

I am not quite sure what is going on....

My Esky Txfried on me so I swithched to my Eflite one. I also went and changed the Rx to the eflite one because I felt like it. I think I have got the wiring wrong or something- I dont know.

When I pull back on the stick, instead of the swash tipping back, it goes straight up- increasing the blade angles. When I increase the throttle, it stays on the ground till I pull back on the cyclic and then the heli goes straight into the air.

WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?

Thanks

UPDATE: I had the receiver wired incorrectly. Now, when I increased throttle, the blade angles decrease instead of increase. The way to compensate for this is to reverse the Tx setting. Is there something I still have got wired incorrectly?

Thanks

I'm sorry that came out wrong and sounded kinda snotty, I appologize I was just trying to make you smile. I tend to do that. I really don't understand it though. I dont know the way the e-flite receiver is supposed to be hooked up.

are you using a 3 in one? does it come from the cp pro?

RE: HBK2 Problem!

It didnt come out snotty at all- no worries! :)

No, just the Rx- not the 3in 1

RE: HBK2 Problem!

from what I can gather it is supposed to be channel 1 is right hand rear servo or aileron, channel 2 is the forward, or elevator servo. and channel 6 is the left hand rear or pitch servo. that's what I found on the manual for the cp pro, I don't own a single e flite heli but I keep pdf files of most every heli out there.

Do you have channel reversing switches? If so it sounds like you need to reverse the throtle channel

RE: HBK2 Problem!

That is what I said in my last post- I reversed the throttle setting on the Tx. I dont like this idea because it just feels like I fixed the uneven table with a sugar packet- get it?

I have yet to do another test flight- working right now for just a couple of hours. Then I will check her out.

RE: HBK2 Problem!

First of all.......... the HBK2 collective/pitch function causes the swashplate to move upwards towards the main blades. this is with the stock Esky TX. Eflites collective/pitch function is opposite. When more throttle is applied with the Eflite throttle stick it pulls the swashplate downwards towards the frame of the heli. I assume there are dip switches located inside Eflites Tx somewhere to change the pitch function (not the servo reversing switch on the front) but seriously you are really making it harder than it has to be. You are correct in that the programming is in the TX's themselves and not in the RX. Even if all your servo functions are correct without knowing how to change the Tx programming in the Eflite TX you will never get the pitch/collective to work properly. Not to mention you lose the ability to fine tune your headspeed and pitch angle with the knobs on the Esky TX.
Now is the time to invest in a better radio............. or buy a replacement Esky one. There are a ton of guys on this thread that have upgraded radios, myself included. If you like , PM me and we can talk about getting you a replacement TX.

I just sent you a PM.

Thanks- I didnt know that Eflite differed from Esky in that way.
