ATTENTION!!!!!!!!!!!
If you have preregistered on the fly in site AND paid your landing fee please check your paypal account and make sure the email address it went to ends in a 9 not a 1.
There was a typo and it was just discovered today.
If it has a 1 as the last digit ( before the @) then you need to cancel and resend it through the site. The typo has been fixed!

<hr style="color: rgb(167, 167, 167); background-color: rgb(167, 167, 167);" size="1"/> Bob the editor of the Holdenville News and I talked for about an hour about the fly in.
We went over the history of the event and all the reasons for it. He commented how impressed he was in the progress from the first to the second year.

He took some pictures and as he was getting ready to leave he told me that because they are limited on how many articles they can do he is planning on taking an add out in the paper for the fly in and paying for it out of his own pocket!

The newspaper is a business of course and he does now own it. And there will still be good coverage of it from him. But to make sure we get all the exposure possible he is doing the add him self. I think that shows a strong belief in our cause and faith in us.

Pretty outstanding if you ask me!

With the money they have kicked in and all the product they have on the way now. Hobby King has almost DOUBLED what they promised when they first contacted me.
And with all the donations from the other sponsors and donors this year it is hard to imagine all that we are going to have!
We all should try to follow their example in giving. Sponsors and participants alike.
I really cant wait to see how this year goes!

With what we have, and what is committed for the raffle.

I started with a goal of $2000 worth of raffle prizes. I emailed 250 RC shops, and RC manufacturers, got $1800 pretty quick. So I changed my goal to $5000, HobbyKing.com approached us about being a title sponsor, and giving us $5000in cash and prizes.
HK loved everything about the event. They Loved that 100% of proceeds goes to help find a cure for MS. They loved thelocation (central US),the flying site (an airfield, with unlimited room for growth), the ability to fly anything from park electrics, giant scale, 90 size gas helis, to screaming turbine Jets. They also liked the indoor flying, and night flying.
Then I changed my goal to $8000, I sent out another round of emails again. We got a few hundred dollars more.
Then Hobby King decided to kick in more money, another $1000 to $2000.
Then I changed the goal to $10,000, I think were there.
More donations came in, Zearotech, David (RCphotog), US cellular, and they're still coming.
Wes' house looks like a well stocked hobby shop.
We are so blessed to have such charitable sponsors, and individual donors.
Be sure and thank them if you see them at the Dust Bowl.

Please tell all of your LHS's, and your Local clubs about the event. The more pilots we have, the more money we raise.

<hr style="color: rgb(209, 209, 225); background-color: rgb(209, 209, 225);" size="1"/> I just came back from a meeting with William Harrison about using the gym for the indoor part of the fly in. His response? We would LOVE to have you!
So it is confirmed! We will have indoor flying this year in the gym at Justice school.
Also I told him we are having a planning meeting on August 13th.... Well the short version of that is that we are going to be doing a demo for him about noonish at the gym.
So anyone who is going to be at the meeting who also flies indoor should bring a plane or two and join me to show him what indoor flying is like!
Brett? Oh Brett! Can you bring a couple of types of indoor planes?
