Well what's going on ??? Typical getting ready for Top Gun, wouldn't you know it, Engine problems,
so this week will be hurry up and fix my engine, hopefully test it this weekend, perhaps install a new engine if all that
doesn't work. Just one of those murphy's law things that what's going on with me !
I gonna get it i think and maybe get to fly all 4 rounds on the 4 th and 5th.
I hope this thread keeps alive and if so i will post some things from the event if i have time. I did one last year but it didn't have much
activity.

Is anyone going to post some photos or comments about the first day of competition ???
I was hoping to keep this going so it would make the top 15 list so we can keep up on the action.
I am going over in the morning to help out and get ready for my static on friday

Yesterday was kind of sketchy. Lot's of light rain on and off until about 1: 30 then it started steadily raining. Hopefully the weather get's better and better toward Friday. I'll try to post some pics of planes. Janelle is the official family picture taker. I'll talk real nice to her.

Well day two, Great day after all !! Good flying weather despite the forcast for terrible winds and rain. I won't fly until Saturday so i shall see
what the a couple of days brings me. Perhaps i will be lucky enough to have a good couple of days with two rounds either day.

Sean and I stopped by the field on the way home from work today. There were several beautiful aircraft in the air, a constant stream of planes taking off, flying and landing. The field and the parking areas actually looked in pretty good shape, I was expecting worse. Looks like a great turnout too, I think that this will be an awesome weekend. We are flying our 1/4 scale electric powered SE-5 in the noon time demo Saturday and Sunday. If you come out look for the red Studebaker truck pulling a ww2 military painted trailer, come by and say hello. We will be hanging out with the warbird alley guys. Bring a smile, your love of aviation and come enjoy the fun!

A few more shots from today.
A case for Columbo, WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE !!!! The donut taste tester who eats and runs, i guess he didn't like the Chocolate Glazed Dunkin Donut and left it in
the box for everyone to admire and truthfully get sick to our stomach. looking at it. I really think i will pass on providing the tasty morning donuts for someone to taste and run...........I'll save it if you want to come back and finish it.......

Friday Night Cocktail Party, Lakeland Airport Terminal Building.
Frank Tiano Enterprises Presents, a socail gathering of participants,crew and Spouses.
The Ladies serving for the evening were Beautiful and terrrific serving all the folks. The food was excellent
and plenty of spirits were had by everyone. This was a great gathering of the Top Gun 2013 for it's 25th anniversary !!

Looks like stiff competition for Mr. Top Gun this year with lots of great models in Expert and Masters. Nice to see Jeff Foley with his 109.
Planedriver 2, we would be grateful if you could take a picture of the score boards at the end of the competition and post the scores, if you're there today and have the time.

Tom Smith and I ready for the final round, Team Scale. Thanks to Tom for all his help. My friend David took i'll and the Chief Judge allowed me to have Tom fill in as my caller for the event. Final round score 91.375 and took 7th place out of 12....Not a bad year.
A big improvement since my first year in last with engine troubles and 10 last year with four rounds completed.
Thank you everyone who helped me get through the event........
