Float Fun Fly
Grab your float plane and join us for a day of excitement at the Wiregrass Metropark located at 210 N. Eber Road, Holland, Ohio On Saturday August 05, 2017 from 10: AM until 6: PM Landing fee $15.00 - Spectators free. All flyers must show proof of AMA membership and FAA registration for small UAS. This event is for electric powered aircraft and electric powered boats using 2.4 ghz radios only. Any one wanting to try their hand at flying an R/C aircraft there will be a trailer from the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) with R/C flight simulators available.
Takeoff and Grow (TAG) Event
Have you ever wanted to experience holding the controls of a remote control plane? You can at our field in the Westwinds Metropark on Sunday, August 06, 2017, 10 AM to 4 PM. There will be ground school training" in the AMA Flight Simulator, where you can fly and crash all you like until you get the feel of the controls. Then you'll have the opportunity to experience flying the actual planes. At noon the “expert” pilots in the club will put on an airshow. This is a free event and you do not even need a plane. This is our way of introducing you to the wonderful hobby of R/C aircraft.
There will be food vending at both events.
