The Time is here for the HEATWAVE IN THE HEARTLAND in Tulsa on july 29th and 30th! Last year we had 105 registered pilots for the two-day event, and this year is going to be bigger and better. We'll have at least 3 TOC pilots and who knows how many from the XFC here to show you how to lay it down. Plenty of time for everyone to fly with segmented flying schedules. Get ready for 15,000 watts of sound thanks to Greg Ward of OKC. More info. at www.tulsagluedobbers.com

Tim, it was great flying with you yesterday despite the wind. Just to let people know that Aviation Models ( http://aerobaticmodels.com/ ) will have a booth there with planes for sale.

Wes! It will be great to see the South well represented. We will look forward to seeing you and the gang here.
Looks like we will be raffling a 30% Aviation Models Yak thanks to racinjason. Garrett Morrison is checking his schedule right now to see if he can make it from Lodi to the Heatwave! Garrett, if you're reading this, just do it! Another great pilot to add to our already impressive list. We'll be starting a list of whose coming in a couple of weeks! Stay tuned! - Tim |

Tim has done a wonderful job making this year's Heatwave even better that last year. He has all the 3D'ers and the sponsored pilots lined up, but I am a warbird fan and look forward to all the classics that will show up again. I look forward to showing off my new wing walker on the top of my Ziroli Stearman. Maybe this year year I will be steady enough to give him a scalping on an inverted pass. All it takes is a little practice. I am starting a B-25, but it obviously will not be ready for this year. I will arm twist Alan Hall into bringing his again, and then maybe we will have two to shown in another year or two.

I had a great time last year. Lot's of high level flying. Tim and the Tulsa club did a great job. I'll be back with the Spirit and several war birds. I highly recommend the event. The Sooner Magic Air Show Team will provide the sound with their awesome 15000 watt sound system. You'll definitely be able to hear this year!

Hey Tim,
I am looking forward to another great event! It was a lot of fun last year and I am sure this year will be even better. |
RE: Fly with Frank Noll Jr., Sean McMurtry, Bill Cunningham, Blaine Austin &
This is without question THE EVENT to attend in our area, and would well be worth the drive no matter where you live. Tim did an awesome job of putting this thing together last year, and I still find myself talking it up to my local flying buds. A lot of them will be making the trip this year, as first time Heatwave pilots.

Ever see a B-36 do a 500 ft loop, fly inverted, or do an 8 point roll?
Grant Wilson will have his 6 engine B-36 at Heatwave in the Heartland again this year. It is powered by (6) OS Max .32's, has a 9 1/2 foot wingspan, weighs 28 pounds, and has smoke on all 6 engines. It has been clocked at 127 mph. Grant's B-36 models have won contests all over the United States, and continue to be a croud favorite everywhere they go. This year it will be flown by Tim Schmidt of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Tim is a commercial jet pilot that has flown 85 different types of full-scale aircraft, and hundereds of different r/c models. |

Tim,
Aero Graphix Custom Aircraft Graphics will be in attendance. We had a great time last year and really met a lot of great new people. We will have the trailer stocked full of graphics so if anyone is looking for something simple to outrageous we will have it. We will also be taking custom orders, so if you are dreaming something up for a new bird we will be glad to help. Looking forward to flying and seeing some old friends. Thanks for invite again Tim! Tim,
Heatwave in the Heartland was the best R/C meet I went to last year. Well worth the 300 mile drive that I made from Kansas City to Tulsa. Lots of Warbirds and 3D flying. The way you segmented the flying was great! Everybody was very happy and got pleanty of chances to fly their fill. Thanks again for a great meet! Really looking forward to this years meet!!! Thanks to everyone with the comments. sure to achieve expecttions again this year with the huge group that says they are coming. Maybe Sean McMurtry will be up for "Stump Sean" again. We threw out every rolling and snapping combo we could think of and he did it. |
