Hi Guys does anyone know a suitable alternative Carb for the PAW 55 the tick over and response on the original wont tick over very well the barrel closes almost fully and the engine still runs almost at a half throttle like tone but burbles and when barrel close a little more it cuts, which I have set to the suggested setting of both holes down at full open barrel?
The outside diameter of the carb insert is 4.72mm a 5mm would be fine I would simply turn it down, any suggestions please? Many thanks Simon.

That looks like the carb for the Enya .11 engine?
The Enya .09 carbs have a neck diameter of 7mm, if I remember correctly, and they are a direct drop-in on the PAW .09 engines.
It sounds like the barrel is too lose on the PAW 55, a common problem with the early carb bodies that where made out of aluminium. In the past I have simply remade the carb barrel from Teflon instead, these can have a tighter fit and still slide nicely in carb housing. Here is an example on the PAW .09 engine;

Hi Simon ,
there is a aftermarket carburetor available, especially designed for small Diesels
at : scalehobbyshop.de
With its 2,4mm throttle barrel opening diameter it has the right size for the PAW 0,55ccm.
The neck diameter is M5x05mm so you can either late it down to 4.72 mm
or cut M5x0,5mm into the PAW crankcase for installation.
kind regards , Andreas

Hello
I have a PAW 1.49cc /0.09cu'' diesel engine and would like to fit the ENYA AS-05 carb cos the PAW carb for some reason does not throttle ( maybe loose barrel sucking in air !? )
Where can I get hold of one of the AS-05 carbs...joe
