Default OS Diesel

Hello everyone

I have got a 1958 OS Max-D .15 size diesel engine - the only purpose built diesel OS have made that I know of. It is missing a couple of screws, but otherwise is complete and in fairly good condition. I was just wondering if anybody out there knew anything about these engines. I'd just like to find out a bit more about it.

Thanks in advance

Warren

Just that they sell for big bucks because they are fairly rare.

Warren,

I had one of these OS Max .15 diesels in the early 1960's. I can remember using it only one airplanes, a full size TF Flight Streak. The combination flew great and I never had a problem flying on 52.5 foot lines. Trading emails with David Owen I found out is was not well recieved by modelers. I may have been lucky I only used it in the Flight Streak. It was my second .15 diesel. The first being a Super Tigre G-30, the 3rd being a Super Tigre G-20/15D and the fourth a Webra Mach II. Wish I still had all of them. I got rid of all my old engines when I got involved in R/C sailplanes in the 1970's.
