Anyone up for a diesel gathering around Chicagoland? I tried to get some people together last year, but I think only Jack was interested. I'm getting some of my four stroke conversions ready for some flying.

Jack do you know any other diesel fliers in the area that we can meet up with? I occasionally run into a few at the swap meets. I don't know if I put fliers up at Al's and Venture if we could find any more people.

I'm thinking late August or early Sept. at either Busse Woods or Shoe Factory Rd, both are public fields. Shoe Factory sometimes has events scheduled so we would have to check. Maybe 9/12 or 9/13. but if Rob or Dave want to come out and Labor Day weekend will be better, we can do that.

Is there still any interest? Flying season around here is coming to a close. I got very busy last month and wasn't able to keep up. I think it would be fun to get together. Jack, even if it's just us we could meet at one of the public fields and do some flying.

Greg, I am getting ready to go to Muncie Monday for a week. I am CD for the Vintage R/C Society Muncie 5 day event. The drive home and in a couple days off to the SAM Champs in Henderson, Nevada. I will take a van full of models, not all mine. I will be back home in the middle of October. I have done some great flying in late October. Once in a while even early November. Maybe we will get lucky? Jack

Just let me know when you are around and we can meet up. Sometimes the weather is forgiving. It has been the past couple years, but I think we won't be so lucky this year.
