Look for a Tatone EM-7 muffler or any Tatone muffler for a Cox 049 engine. I think it will work. Look on eBay --- there is one for sale there. The seller is whiskeycity and the auction ends Wed. the 22nd The seller is few 100 miles from Chicago ILLinios USA Also look at the Enya muffler for .049 or .06 or .08 They may work as well? You can order them from Enya themselves. Do a web search of the Enya 049 muffler for a photo. sosam117 |
Thanks for the info

MECOA has a muffler made by Tatone that may work out for you? It fits on to a Cox engine the .049 or the .09 You may have to do a little work on it? But then again maybe not? Here is the website for MECOA for the muffler. http://www.mecoa.com/tatone/mufflers/mufflers.htm https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...129a3cfa86.jpg Look at the photo. It has the dimensions of the muffler. Dimensions are in inches. The diameter of the center hole is:14.75mm (.58 inches) which is not on the drawing, so I measured it from the two I have. I just purchased "two" from them last week for the two Cox engines I have. sosam117 |
Hi Sosam,
No I couldn't find a suitable one, however that Tatone muffler looks ideal. Thank you so much for measuring the muffler, I'll be easily able to adapt that to fit. Which engine size muffler did you buy, 049 or 09? |
Chris,
I purchased the .049 mufflers for my Cox Golden Bee (circa 1974) and Cox Baby Bee(circa 1978). I have a TD 09 and I'll measure the cylinder for you. The head (cylinder diameter ) of the .09 measures .78 inches (19.81mm) Hope that also helps you to decide which muffler to purchase? sosam117 |
