Sharma 09
Ok gang I do have a few classics besides my conversions
Ran my Sharma 09 today r/c carb is little crude but works well, good idle, good transition, no bogs zinger wood 8x4 11200-11300 davis plane fuel not bad, clone of the paw it is fitted with a paw silencer which required a quick file job to the rear of the bottom cooling for a fit seems a little louder than the paw very easy hand flip start dial in on compression and needle quick no issues How long will it last?? good question. Here we use a very good quality cast iron for piston and liner, so does the UK and Down Under, martin |
RE: Sharma 09
Hi Martin,
What does said beastie weigh? Iam running on the assumption that it would be slightly heavier that its parent clone. Cheers. |
RE: Sharma 09
Recycled flyer Wt is 145Gms 5.05oz (aren't digital scales nice?) with the little muff
Just clicked on the site and saw your question, took a break from the VMAR NOUVO 1300EP conversion assembly .this is an easy one, just glued in a shelf to hold a 2 oz hayes tank, new firewall with mount done, the TT10GP davis conversion, on its side even a nice pitts muffler on the little guy so exhaust out the bottom. Its away for night it just got a coat on thinned epoxy inside right up to the first bulkhead, no oil soaking here martin |
RE: Sharma 09
So 15 grams heavier, not much difference really.

RE: Sharma 09
ORIGINAL: AMB 15Gm, maybe its the Curry powder they add to the aluminum martin I beleive that Tony Eifflaender (one of PAW's owners) when presented with a Sharma quipped "Well it ain't one of ours!" I wonder how he could tell? |
RE: Sharma 09
Maybe because of red stains caused by chewing Betel nuts during the process of making Vindaloy well not good at jokes either, on a more serious note on a test mount of th TT10
on the Nouvo 1300 the pressure nipple came out dead in the corner of front of the fus, no room for pressure line readily resolved by drilling and tapping an 8/32 on the side of the pitts muffler and closing off the original with a short 8/32 screw. martin |
