Just found that FORA have a new revamped, redesigned Junior 2.5cc diesel. Still US$90 from here :- http://technohobby.com.ua/online-sho...niornew-diesel

It looks like a nice engine with all the mod cons combined with old school ignition principles.

Thanks.

It would be perfect if it had an R/C carb on it.....

The dealer says that it will be available shortly in an r/c version. The venturi hole in the crankcase is 13mm diameter. This is a common size for r/c throttles I believe or a sleeved 1/2" should be ok. Looks like a glow version is coming as well as a muffler. A small enya muffler will probably fit as is.

Hi Martin

Given it's modern configuration I'd say the MVVS would be very hard pushed to keep up.

This Fora looks very (suspiciously) similar to the Parra 2.5D (which I will be running in soon).

I could do a back-to-back of the Parra 2.5 with the MVVS 2.5 ... same prop, fuel etc. if there is any interest.

Martin,
My money is on the Fora.
The old Fora Junior/Pioneer was a pretty strong engine (especially considering the price point) given some issues and this looks like an improvement

Ok Guys, point well taken, comes down to use and application, for general sport flying the MVVS is fine, interesting enough they show the parts for a rear intake rotary valve on the parts sheet MVVS 15 ( I have never seen or heard of this version) might be hotter. Pe Rievers may have a comment on this one.
High performance is a whole different animal. Park flyers may be a stretch since most 45 to 50 span, OS 10 and TT10, Davis conversions and the MVVS 15D well just relaxing flying and can fly
about anywhere. I do not belong to a club but was invited to fly at a couple, thus flew off paved runways only about 3 times. hence my beef ups to Tundra flyers on most of my stuff

Wanted to run a couple of engines today but temp outside 99.5F now at 220PM I have put off flying the Nuevo 1300 VMAR electric conversion with the TT 10 Davis head since
100F on the field I will use maybe 830AM in a day or two be a cool 85F or so martin
