Adjusting Evo jet 160 Engine
Section 3:Limits in the manual you are able to adjust the engine.
33: Throttle -UP - Standard Value is 3.0 sec for 130 and 160 engine. I feel there is a lot of lag time. If changed to 2.0 sec what effects will be noticable. I fly a Comp Arf Flash and have the throttle set to soft per reccommendations. Thanks Chris |
RE: Adjusting Evo jet 160 Engine
Chris,
Sometimes INCREASING the time will actually decrease the spool up time. If you have it set too fast, the engine will automatically try to retard the throttle and end up increasing your spool time. I can tell you here in Vegas we typically run 5 or 6 seconds, and nothing else out here spools as fast as our engine. Which engine do you have?? You can also raise your idle RPM by 3000-5000, this will increase residual thrust only slightly, but also reduce your spool up time. Chad |
