Temperature meter

Does anybody know where I might purchase a meter to see how hot my engine is running? How about WHERE? Are they expensive? Thanks .......

you can pick them up from ebay, towerhobbies or a place like harborfreight.com, for like $20+

i got mine from my lhs, most shops carry them
