I built the Dumas kit several years ago after my wife purchased it as a Christmas present. I liked it so much that I have decided to go bigger so I ordered the Sweitzer plans from Jerry Bates Plans. I also ordered the fiberglass cowls at the same time they were built by Bob Sealey. I contacted the 2 kit cutters listed on Jerry's site and the 2 that I talked with did not have the files for them but both said that they would see about getting the files (BCM laser and Bob Holman Plans) Bobs daughter sent me an e mail in late Feb and said that they were going to start cutting that afternoon, A week later I got the box of wood. $350 plus shipping, NOT BAD. I ordered the nose light and canopy from Vic at vic@vicrc.com the cost was about $67 after shipping.
The plans for this are huge, 4 1/2 sheets 3' by 9' the wing span is 96" and it is around 5' long. I plan to use 2 Saito 91 four stroke engines at this altitude but I may think electric as the build goes on. I use an Airtronics SD-10GS radio and plan to put a light kit in the plane.

please could somebody tell me the correct tappet clearences for this engine. i have ran it today and this engine is back fireing and also after a few secs on full throttle, power is lost dramatically. the bottom end is correct ajnd the top[ idle adjustment even if richened up, will still not allow the engine to run correctly. the tappets at the moment are set at 4 thou. someone suggested that the outlet valve should have a greater gap than the inlet. when this engine overheats is it possiblke as the engine parts expand, the clearence of the tappets gets too small and causes these probs. any sugestions appreciated.
