Being an old flat track racer from back in the day, I was always under the impression that a full tuned pipe (expansion chamber) would offer the greatest opportunity for performance gains on a two stroke. Having said that, I see a lot of Jett mufflers out there, so they apparently are also very effective. Which gives the most power potential?

All the unlimited speed records that I know of are held by rear exhaust, full tuned pipes.
You can get very, very good results from those tuned mufflers though.

full wave pipes, but the jett type simplify it for many

rc speed and control line speed and boats use full wave pipes as well as FAI pylon....

use the macs header with a macs unmuffler boat pipe in the rear exhaust set for max power out of your engine.

Jett mufflers are about 300-800 rpm down from a full tuned pipe.
