Default How much power does it take??

Hey there,

Has anyone clocked a Patriot at over 150mph? What kind of engine/prop/RPM does this take? I am thinking of putting a Jett FIRE 60 on the nose, and Dub Jett says it should handle a 10x10 prop, but is not sure if it can develop the pulling power needed to haul this airplane past 150. Has anyone got any experience or seen this or similar combinations? What about moving up to to the 76 or 95? What other engines are being used for all-out speed?

Thanks for your input...

Default RE: How much power does it take??

EVERYONE THINKS EVERYTHING GOES 150+ (SEEMS LIKE-)

I would really like to know how fast mine is with a Jett-50 APC 9x9...

Supposedly (Jetts web-site) a Patriot w/ Jett-90 hit 190 (?)

I would not stop at the 76 go with a Jett-90 or somehow put an OS-91VRDF in there...

Keep us posted,
james
