Default Shrike 40 for sale

There's a build thread around here somewhere on this bird. It has 3/8" carbon fiber tube wing spars, a few other mods that make it stronger, but no heavier than the designed weight. I built it from the kit plans and rib templates traced out of the balsa carriers.

Comes RTF with an OS 46AX, a 2000NiMh pack, and a 6EX Futaba receiver. If planning on extreme high speed operation, you'd want to replace the servos. They are just old standard Airtronics. It has a 10x6 prop, so I doubt if it ever got much above 100 mph under my thumbs. Underhand launches are a breeze with this and it's fun to fly and easy to see.

Asking $150, the price of the engine, so the airframe and everything else is free. I live in Cadillac, MI and would prefer to deliver it within a 100 mile radius. Estimating packing and shipping at around $100 to as far away as Seattle, somewhat less for other places in the lower 48.

Oliver: I'll take it down to pakmail and find out. I'm pretty sure it will be well below $100, as I sent a much larger plane to Chicago (boxed and shipped) for about $60. I'll get back to you later on today.

Sorry, Oliver. I sent you a PM. You can set your PMs so that you get an instant email notification. You don't want to know how much it would cost to ship. Would be way less to drive here and pick it up, or meet me in Ludington at the ferry. I have a guy who's interested, coming from near Toronto, wants to meet me at the swap meet in Flint, MI. He sounds somewhat tentative, so who knows, maybe when the ice melts?

Thanks, Bob.

I'll pass, no doubt I'd take it if I was closer. In case you be in the area and still have it, I'd be interested.
Too bad they don't make these anymore.

Oh ye of little faith. It's been pretty good so far. I always hold my breath and hope I am praying to the right God when I go through Detroit.
