here is my Vendetta on 60% nitro and a 14x14 prop. this one only did 184.5 average here. Sorry about the blurry video. I had someone use my phones camera and I forgot to change the zoom to infinity. You can still see how fast it is on a low pitch prop. I later went with a 12x16 carbon prop and 40% nitro and did 196.2 on a two way average. the 12x16 wasnt enough prop. In fresno at the warbird championship race Richard and Marty both broke 200 mph. I burned up my engine with the 70% nitro lol richard was running a 13.5x13.5 prop repitched to 17 inches.

The BVM 96 is the good one although rossi made a 105DF engine but not sure how strong it is. You can have any of these DF engines making the same power as the OPS engines so dont go way out of your way to find one lol.
I'd never shell out $600 for a DF engine - no worries there. I'll live with my modest collection of second hand example. I have many projects, but my list is hopefully short enough and realistic for this winter. I am currently distracted mutilating a Baby Birdie by converting it to an F2A speed .15. I have the Macchi fuselage filled and wet sanded, making the engine mount plate now (Al/ply), and need to cobble up a fixture to get it in straight once it's done.

Any idea whose electric retracts fit the Macchi well? I haven't checked yet, just curious if you know off the top of your head.

I am using the eflight 15-25 size in mine. with a short strut work just fine as the plane will be around 6.5 pounds with the 115 in it.

Oh cool.. and I was hoping .40 size would be good enough. I'll take a wing panel to the LHS and scope out the fit on the counter.

I have a .91 VR-DF and the OPS .80, but on this I decided to use the OPS. I'm told it is happy to run 22-23k all day and not eat parts in the process. Plus, the engine and the model speak the same language.

I just saw it. I not going to reno this weekend to much stuff to get ready for Phoenix race. I will hit you up when I come that way. Good to meet new people plus some times we go fly at the club near you I think. There is one near the city dump I think

Kind of, you are thinking of the Carson City field, 30 miles south of Reno. Nice field, I have flown there. The Reno field is nice too, bring a plane and your AMA card and we will make noise. I have plenty of fuel and field stuff.

Mike. Keep an eye out for the sled dog team, or whatever delivers mail up there. There is a carbon graphite pipe on its way to you.

Hi Michael

How much for the piston and sleeve?
Is it a matching set?
Are they brand new?
How much is the conrod alone?
Is the conrod brand new?
How much to send it to Australia please?

Thank you

Clint
