DQ system angle error
A well designed DIY Talega based inverter runs at 48khz pwm with OPTIMOS or SiC field effect transistors. It runs DSP based FOC SVC with a floating dc link recognition which allows it to utilize the dc link more effectively than "typical" SVC.. It is motor agnostic and supports all modern UAV, UUV, and USV protocols.

PMSM parameters - Google Sheets

Here are some parameters that the E 's at Talega have recorded for some known hobby engines.

And right the original manufacturing date and hardware says it will be all 3 phases LOL!

Its time the amateur hobbyist build something in 2023. The YGE 255 opto is already up an running. They don't have an issue with understanding modern hardware development. The keyboardist do..

The hobbyist have never designed inverter with 6 SiC fets with 30 kw sink each with a gate charge half that of a yge's DPAK2 mosfet 320. They've typed about for the last 20 years.

Of course you ideally want to embed the controller to the motor for the shortest current path and easier cooling as a holistic structure. I Just want you to understand Ralph may lead you but nobody here. Reverse engineer the YGE use its hardware and create the pcb to fit inside.the Aluminum finned bezel.

Hubert

Default The "laboratory technicians" kitchen lab for hobby.

Hi forum friends,
I've gathered a few things from my treasure chest. I should have enough peripheral hardware to build the Talega based , 40 pin PIC based and 28 pin DSPIC DSP based inviters. I would imagine all 3 could handle YGE 320 performance. With the commutation algorithms available the hardware will support The DSPIC MCU tethered to the db25 program dongle has a 7.7Mhz external clock and I have some high frequency opamps and dynamite fet drivers of all kinds. I need the appropriate SMT current shunts ,MLCC capacitors and a few other items like the moderf fets and can begin to enjoy my 10 day vacation to show the speeder boys across the Atlantic how all hobbyist here in America do not have the same limits and skill sets.

As the PhD.

Regards
Hubert

2 Things must be considered here with the bipolar driving. It is 3 full brides so you need a MCU that will drive the 12 input channels, Most BLDC MCU do not so to make this work with the one in the 320 for instance needs an N channel H bridge driver IC like the HIP4080 with buffers to invert and compliment the hi and low with reciprocating low and hi channel to efed the hbridge input for each open ended coil. The HIP can also monitor the current in the bridges with onboad op amps comparators and provide hysteresis with the current shunt resistor.. The ither thing you have to consider is it is an open ended wind so for Christians LRK 6 open ended coils youd need at least 12 channels of pwm.with with 6 HIPS or wrap the open end coils serially 180 degrees to the other side of the stator to maintain just 3 open end coils you can run the coils parallel I suppose like i've shown you several times.. You will need a DSPIC or ST motor drive specific chip with high pijn cpunt.. For this you also have to consider the gate drivers and MCU's clock and firmware ability to charge the gates and timing for all the on fets. Are you ready? Its farily easy to build from a hardware perspective.

Regards
Hubert

Another way is to see if some of the dual h-bridge brushed DC motor ics can drive the fet gates and feed the hi and low inputs with halls or a simple bang bang logic stepper algorithm. These Dedicated dc motor h-bridge IC;s drive at a high frequency pwm and amperage for any fet gate and have a wide voltage range with their bootstrap topology. They also have current sense. . as they wer actuall designed to drive direct small dc motors. There are alot of solutions that could be perfected.

The EQ Vison concept is 4 hub wheel the EQ Arrow is 4 independent motors mounted on axis to each wheel.

And so we will purchase 12 of these for one of the Talega based inverters that can switch it at 48 khz,
Cannot do the full bridge drivers as the fet drivers are already part of the Mitichondrik LV logic stage.
The full bridge drivers can run with the DSPIC 30f2010

And so that's it Christian . It is easier to show you them than tell them. Nothing is through hole any more so i just purchased this small SMT IR oven to build a Clugh prototype power system. Motor and inverter. Let's see how it goes with the hecklers on the subject matter.

Regards,
Hubert

My Redonda 3040B PCB mill is 2,995.00 I've had it over 10 years now so I guess its up to the task for a prototype..

This is someone's you tube example of how that goes.

Hubert

"Hello
Copied by Christian Lukas--
---Each stator tooth is electrically controlled over 180 degrees and not only over 120 degrees as with 3 phases.---
If that goes over, it is then exactly in front of a magnet and brings no torque as I see it ????

Greetings Aloys."

its funny because winding it this way is much less complicated way to achieve better performance with hairpin coils and the inverter in hand (YGE) If you cannot do this you wont build an inverter. We see it is pure typing.

Thanks

The sharp has arrived so I can play with the bench the rest of the week/end. Today is my last day of the 12 hour grind.
I still need the I2C jst cables.

Now you wan a BOM for an inverter right? So go look on the open source page I linked you to.

Certainly u dont think ill give you my specific BOM of components that I chose for Clugh....

One person hangs out here so good for you. I dont plan to put all of this in Michaels thread. But why not get into Talega . Its nice! My brother is a funny guy because he waste time with Ralph Okon and knows I'm a hardware guy so if he wanted the bipolar motor dive and has all the connection why hasn't he found me a coder for the pieces Ive shown ? All he does is waste his time with Ralph. They dont want to show and prove anything in 2023 where its relevant. Talking about forumula E and havent even wound a hybrid hobby machine yet. Its apples and oranges.

This is the beauty of Talega someone will develop with you not just talk about it. I enjoy that more than arguing on the forum so some people really love the drama and I really do not. I really prefer the technical discussion and the tech but they dont give me that I get instead whack a mole squirrels in my mix.

I told him to let it go but the Jester court has become more of a draw for him so once again Im moving op. Let try an inverter and see if we can get the stand up and running. I really wish those discussion the best but i like to build things. I got really nice models I plan to bring out and totally enjoy.

They dont wanna build the bipolar drive they just want to talk about it. So lets do something a bit simpler first.

By definition an "Advanced" modeler should be able to handle this. There is no way I give a person Guru status that cannot. My 17 year old. Daughter can understand this schematic. Have martin put one together an try it.If Christian has the recourses and ability versus argue with you he should show you how to do it. Thats how you win favor. My study for this evening is the CAN receivers. I know nothing about that or what it entails. But you want it for sure .

He will say he doesn't need to do this because of all hes done in the past. For me that's a strange Idea when you think about it and almost says because of what Id did in my past i don't need or want to do anything new or fun today. Thats not at all the spirit of technology so your arguments have really damaged him. If you are my brother I asked you to stop and told you we have more important things to do.

Ralph
If you keep talking to him he will never mount the halls on the Lehner. Wasn't that the point of discussions to run test??? Im not a idolizer of men and you know from these forums that If I think he is wrong I will tell him! I think you are doing a wonderful job of keeping him riled up so that he produces nothing tangible while you're winding in the background. I see your strategy clearly.

You also know the name is homage but I carry Clugh. This means the strategy with him will not work with me. Ill just build the Mitochondrik and show it.
