Default ACM Quality and Service

Rick,
I just received my second Whiplash. I couldn't find a blemish on the airframe, and the kit of materials supplied was very complete. My other Whiplash flew like it was on rails. It leaped of of the launcher you provided. People at our field land and watch in amazement. A few commented on my shaking hands on the transmitter as I made low passes. The Whiplash has to be the fastest airframe around, notwithstanding jets.
Also, thank you for the excellent customer service. I'm receiving parts two days after I email you. That kind of response from a vendor makes for very loyal customers.

I like to buy new ARF aircraft occasionally. My problem will one day be how to find an aircraft more satisfying than the Whiplash.

My second one will be on its' way shortly ($$) and the service is awesome as usual!

Mine went in at a 45 deg. angle at an undisclosed speed-[X(] Not the fault of the airframe...

Uh... dunno- I do not have an educated guess...

It was just flying nice and I had it trimmed out and it did one of those famous slow rolls into our fine planet- RX ok, servos ok, range check fine...

I agree . If only All companies could be like ACM... How can you go wrong with a plane under 500 bucks going as fast as a 8000 bucks jet!

How much carbon does a Whip contain? Unfortunately you are able to check that now...
Since the Whip is very rigid check your switch, battery and RX for vibration damage.

Also watch out for pipes that touch the header... IMO it is better to have some distance between the pipe and the engine and burn out the coupler every now and then...
In setups where the pipe hooks up to the engine directly it can be helpful to make a mass connection between the engine and the radio system...

????? i know your meant to leave about 1/8" gap
but when i first read that i thought you meant hard wire the engine and exhause so they are grounded, but to the radio???

Engine is the Jett 50 F.I.R.E with an 8.75 x 9 APC prop. Elevon servos are Hitec HS-5945MG. The radio is an 8-channel PCM "Vision" by Airtronics.

I underestimated the speed capability of the Whiplash. I'm an old (65) Q500 pilot used to 130-150 mph stuff. I got a few flights in running rich with 18K max rpm. When I launched with the needle set 500 below peak (19.7K peak) it leaped off the launcher. Before I could switch on the D/R switches it was moving away extremely fast, and when I moved the elevons it responded so quickly, that before I knew it was doing a fast roll straight down. It was a terrible crash. No airframe around could have survived. The Jett crankcase broke, both receiver crystals, and the HS81MG. Incredibly the HS-5945MG's work fine but their connectors are thrashed. Thanks to Rick I'm now getting #2 ready. What number are you on?

Cool- #2 should be on the way shortly!

I also have a K&B 7.5 on the way from Esten Spears also... Hmmmm....Where could I put that engine?

Am I the only one who is not using digital servos? (Using Hitec-645MG's)

Maybe I should run my Rossi-45 on there...
