James, do you remember what size fuel tank you put in yours? (tractor version) 4 oz. seems on the small side?[X(]

Seems to me it was 6 oz. but I am fuzzy on that---

The pipe I have is for an OS-91VRDF/ Byron set-up

Angel, what is it worth any idea?

Dave, you need to contact the guy I told you about in Florida. He may be able to extract the portion you need from the DVD and e-mail it to you. I am sure he will send you photos of his plane and how he mounted the engine. He may also have the ability to scan the manual. If you need his info again pm me.

I thought Angel wanted it?

All I have are those MVVSs you don't care for. Other than those I don't have anything that will use it.... right?

About the vid there is a guy in Florida who made a DVD of the one I borrowed from Angel. If you need to get into contact pm me. BTW it is for the pusher version. However the glassing techniques are priceless.

Razor has the pipe, but he seems to be distracted while harrasing Dave from across the pond. I fitted a 6 up tonight, the length is ok but I will need to carve a little out in the main fuse. I plan to get the motor all situated before I go permanent with the tank. I have a pump but bu the look of things I don't think I will need it. (that ought to get James' attention).

James, if you are loitering near here you should change your sig to reflect your un-official censorship of the speed prop plane forum in honor on your abuse to Dave.[sm=spinnyeyes.gif]

James, do you have any suggestions regarding primer and paint? Please be brand specific. I prefer spraybomb but I do have a compressor and sprayer.[sm=idea.gif]

Thanks

Krylon, Rustoleum, Luster Cote...? My tank is maybe 4" from the motor[sm=bananahead.gif]. I will take a pic for you. I think I can use a Sullivan FP-8 oz tank. BTW I do have a perry pump to use.

At 11:00 I get confused too, maybe too much medicine and association with my Canadian freinds and their ice cube clubmates.[sm=spinnyeyes.gif][sm=bananahead.gif].

About the paint? The vid had the guy using water based acrylic. Is that what you did?

Thanks.

Oh heavens no- I did not "build" it... I bought it!

The video does mention using that acrylic foam friendly paint as I recall--- Keep in mind I have no real "uselful" information in any of my 2000+ posts

I can fly though-

Bought it???[:'(] Oh I'm sorry. I thought I was amongst a true modeller. Sorry to pester you. BTW the fuel tank is only 4.5" from the carb. I am going to look into some acrylic primer tomorrow.

How about you Dave, what are you using?

Razor, it's all in good fun brother.

I too didnt build my F16, However I use the Humbrol Fed Standard paint range. Thinned down and sprayed through an Aztek A320 airbrush with large coverage nozzle. Then Lacquered.

No problem... Although less building has given me more time to practice things like takeoffs and landings (I have many more takeoffs than landings-[X(])

I can even fly upside-down for a couple seconds

Where are the pics of this supposed F-15 Tractor prop-jet?

WHat paint scheme you goin' with? Tiger? Battleship grey?

Keep us posted- just for the record that airplane flew better when we clipped the wings a bit

The jury is still out on scheme. I like the tiger but it is complex and "been done"[X(]. Here are a few candidates.

Also I am fond of the high vis concept.

Yeah but that tail graphic is going to be tough over the RED. I keep going back to the gold "pride of Souixland", not quite sure why. BTW most of these are tiger meet paint jobs.
