Well I have a Shrike .40 and I will pass this along and that is choose your covering design carefully. These suckers are moving well over 120 mph and what looks good in person up close may hurt you in the air as far as keeping track of it. Little designs and or various colors on the top do not help at all. I suggest a solid bright color on top and white on the bottom. Thats just my opinion.

I8rh8r,
You didn't mention your skill level, but you will need to be well beyond
trainers, and even intermediate sport planes to fly any of the planes you have
mentioned. If you are, you might look at the Lanier Predator. It's an ARF, that you can get up and running in a few evenings, has landing gear, so you don't need a helper to hand launch...and with the engine out in the open, it's easy to start with a mild powerplant, and swap for more power as you get more comfortable with the speed.
You do need to add some contrast color to it though. Even with a mild engine, it is fast, and you need to be able to tell up from down at all times!
You can have your local hobby shop get you one of these, or any of the big mailorder houses if he can't.
Good luck, and have fun!

(You might even try the Kangke F20 Tigershark if the Quickies are too much for you....a great ARF, fast, but easier to fly.)

after doing some research I had no idea the price I would be looking at for one... Im still going to get one but I figured they would be the cheapest way to fly..
a whiplash w/ a jet 50 motor alone is over 400.. then the servers..

Welcome to RCU!

Should I guess that you are somewhat of a beginner since you do not know what servos are? Honestly, we need to know your experience level in order to help you or provide USEFUL advice---

There are many friendly folks on here with great advice and info. but we need a little more to "go on" to help- [X(]

Cheers!

Shrike only needs 3 channels. Engine, Aileron and elevator. No rudder.
