Weston Magnum Noise Levels and Fuel?
Does anybody have any noise readings for the Weston Magnum with the new 50 size engine and pipe?
My primary field has a 98db noise limit and I want to make sure I can fly the thing before I buy it.
Also what fuel are people using in the 50 engine?
I will be running Powermaster YS 20/20. Is this going to be OK?

ummm dosnt seam any loulder than MVVS 40's the prop is the main noise, i think most old timers will moan anyway just cos its fast and therefore sounds loulder, putting the exhaust on the canopy should help, also baffle if for the test then sneak it out .
we use the recomended fuel Prosynth 5 or 10% fully synth and 8x9 APC

have a look at the RC mags reports on the trade shows ( German one i think ) about two years ago for a supposed Weston project.. nudge nudge
dont expect it to happen tho, the design wasnt striclty Weston ( at least not any more ) and was only on show coz the factory owner that makes the current ARTF's saw a one off made by the Magnum designer and copied for the trand stand.
am i gonna tell you more???? nope, but if you like Magnum, you'll love this.
The name 2 years ago was Blade
Maybe i can find out more later this week about other stuff. isnt the info i have on the new Wests enough i did tell you about a planned bigger one right? lol i want him to do me a small 20ish size for DF
